Ever since John Boyd Dunlop invented the pneumatic tyre in 1888, his name has been synonymous with industry-leading technical development in tyres.
Goodyear obtained the Dunlop name in the US and UK in 1989. Today, Goodyear Dunlop is one of the foremost tyre manufacturers in the world with a combined 240+ years of experience in tyre production and motorsport acquired by both brands.
Motorsport has always been at the heart of Dunlop who stand as leading tyre developers on and off road. Lessons learnt in motorsport, which include more wins than any other manufacturer at Le Mans 24-Hour and the Isle of Man TT, translate to better technology for consumer tyres whatever the vehicle.
A continuous stream of new products and technology have been tested and perfected through competition before being adopted for road use.
