Bike & Electric Bike Servicing and Repairs in Cambridge
Due to its increasingly friendly attitude to cycling and walking, Cambridge is fast becoming one of the UK's most popular spots for ditching the car and cycling as a primary mode of transport. To meet the demand, we've teamed up with bike maintenance & repair experts, Fettle, at our Cherry Hinton branch to offer national-level bicycle service quality on your doorstep.
It's only a 15-minute cycle from Cambridge city centre or a short bus route if your bike really needs repairs — and you're welcome to wait in the centre for routine work.
If you can't get to the centre yourself, Fettle offers a home or office collection and delivery service!
Both hubs are taken apart and bearings inspected for wear, replacements installed if necessary.
Headset is taken apart and inspected for wear, replacement quoted if necessary.
The bike is stripped and cleaned thoroughly.
During the rebuild, we will make sure to use the correct paste compounds and lubricants, re-torquing components to the manufacturer specific requirements to get those marginal gains.

Free bike assessment
Often, a bike will behave in a way that’s not easy to diagnose. If you don’t know exactly what’s wrong, just describe the issue while booking (or to the technician when you get to the centre) and they can assess the bike for free to find out what’s wrong and what needs doing. They will, of course, provide a quote for approval before any work begins!
Bike servicing
Regularly greasing the cogs, so to speak, is the best way to ensure that parts remain working properly for as long as possible. Depending on the service level you choose, general servicing includes things like adjustments, cleaning, safety checks, and part replacements.
Bike repair
This skips the need for assessments — if you already know what’s wrong with the bike then our Fettle experts can get straight to repairing.
Puncture repairs
On any vehicle, a puncture puts a hole in your whole day. Luckily, the experts at our Fettle station can have it patched and ready to go in no time.
Damage assessments
If you’ve been in the unfortunate situation of a crash or if your bike or e-bike has been damaged while locked publicly, our Fettle technicians can provide damage assessments for insurance purposes.
Bike assembly
Riding a bike is like, well, riding a bike — it’s second nature once you know how! But assembling a bike is a whole different task. If you’ve bought one from new and don’t feel comfortable assembling it, take it to your local Fettle station for professional assembly.
